Postdoctoral Fellow at Emory University School of Medicine
A postdoctoral position is available at the Emory University School of Medicine to work on one of the two ongoing NIH-funded projects – delineating HIV-1 interactions with host factors involved in viral entry and uncoating and studies of the mechanism of HIV-1 protease activation after virus assembly. Our group combines molecular/cell biology and quantitative microscopy techniques, such as single particle tracking, TIRF, super-resolution microscopy and correlative light-cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-CLEM) to delineate key steps of HIV-1 entry and maturation.
Qualifications:
Highly motivated individuals holding a Ph.D. degree in virology, cell biology or related fields are encouraged to apply. Microscopy experience is preferred.
Training Environment:
Emory University provides an excellent training and collaborative environment for research.
