Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for its Financial Aid Director position in the Academic and Student Affairs division. This position is located on Atlanta Technical College’s Main campus, just South of Downtown Atlanta.


Under general supervision of the Executive Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs, the Financial Aid Director is responsible for assisting in directing the student financial services of the college.


Job duties include but may not be limited to the following:


  • Administer and supervise the implementation of all financial aid policies, office procedures and funding programs.
  • Plan, organize and supervise the operational functions of the Financial Aid Office.
  • Counsel students and parents regarding financial aid programs.
  • Oversee the accountability for all financial aid rewards.
  • Prepare and manage student cost-of-attendance budgets.
  • Coordinate and maintain financial aid records.
  • Participate in college committees as assigned.
  • Prepare and analyze operational reports and other data.
  • Disseminate financial aid information to staff, students, and community organizations.
  • Participate in state and federal program reviews and audits.
  • Serves as a Veterans Affairs Certifying Official.
  • Manage and oversee financial/budget operation of the department.
  • Monitor the activities of personnel to ensure compliance with TCSG policy manual and department procedures.
  • Develop and/or assist with the development of policies and procedures and recommends changes to effectively meet the goals and requirements of the program.
  • Evaluate employees at scheduled intervals upon reviewing of all relevant information.
  • Conduct regular evaluation of services provided and make adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date policies, procedures, and state or federal laws that may impact department initiatives; and
  • Perform additional duties, as assigned.

  • Knowledge of institutional organization, policies, procedures, and administrative practices.
  • Knowledge of relevant federal and state regulations.

  • Skill in the operation of computers and job-related software programs.
  • Decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public.
  • Oral and written communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications :

Must possess and demonstrate a Bachelor's degree in a course of study related to the occupational field AND three (3 ) years of experience in a financial aid system.
