Production Manager - Women’s Apparel

*Please note, this is an in-person role in our Chicago office. No remote work offered.

This position requires a strong combination of exceptional analytical abilities, strategic thinking, meticulous attention to detail, common sense business acumen, excellent communication skills, and outstanding collaboration with multiple cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Drive production targets for all Maria Pinto products, managing our manufacturing partners and fulfillment associates.
  • Communicate production results, challenges and delays to the Co-COO.
  • Troubleshoot issues quickly and efficiently to avoid potential delays.
  • Responsible for facilitating factory relationships.
  • Coordinate and schedule all production flows across each factory.
  • Purchase materials and trims.
  • Oversee and communicate production deliveries through all channels until they are received in fulfillment.
  • Negotiate production costs.
  • Continually strive to promote Maria Pinto’s mission and values.

Ideal Candidate:

  • 5-7 years of successful production leadership experience in manufacturing and distribution of women’s apparel.
  • Adept at motivating others in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Proven history of owning quality and efficiency KPIs and driving them in a positive direction.
  • Experience effectively training manufacturing associates and making sound decisions in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to calmly manage numerous projects simultaneously, meeting all deadlines.
  • Experience in production software and ability to implement new processes within it (Apparel Magic experience and integration is a plus).
  • Knowledge of basic garment construction and basic pattern making.
  • Knowledge of the Google Suite, including Google Docs, Sheets, etc.; experience with pivot tables, vlookups, and other various formulas in spreadsheets is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Suite, especially Adobe Illustrator.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Self-motivation, initiative, and drive, with an eagerness to handle variety from week to week.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside the box.
  • Interest in fashion and the fashion industry with a creative eye for design.
  • Ability to contribute individually and participate in cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
