Responsibilities

The National Salesforce Manager is responsible for supporting division sales leadership and field sales teams in successfully executing the Meritage Active Sales ("MAS") model. This role focuses on maximizing the use of Salesforce CRM to drive sales performance and achieve the division's annual Sales Fitness plan. Additionally, the Trainer serves as a liaison between sales teams and operational partners (IT, Marketing, Operations), ensuring the development of a best-in-class CRM tool that enhances overall sales success. The Trainer will deliver Salesforce training to ensure adoption across all divisions and act as a deep subject matter expert in Salesforce and sales techniques, contributing to lead generation and opportunity conversion for realtors.

The National Salesforce Manager will also:

  • Ensure Meritage continuously improves sales performance by optimizing the use of Salesforce across all divisions, leveraging the platform to drive business outcomes, and reinforcing the organizations core sale principles through the five pillars:
  1. CULTURE - Promote a culture that reflects Meritage's core values, with an emphasis on Salesforce adoption and MAS Selling principles.
  2. TALENT ACQUISTION AND RETENTION - Coach division leadership on recruitment strategies, ensuring the sales team is both capable and motivated to leverage Salesforce for sales success.
  3. TALENT MANAGEMENT - Define and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and clear goals for Salesforce usage. Collaborate with division leadership to implement tools that evaluate and drive consistent sales performance.
  4. INSPIRATION - Guide division leaders in inspiring their teams, utilizing Salesforce reporting and tools to foster a culture of sales success.
  5. TALENT DEVELOPMENT - Develop and consistently deliver tailored Salesforce training programs for sales teams and division leadership.
  • Implement and continually execute the MAS playbook, with a focus on Salesforce as a tool for prospecting, networking, and realtor engagement.
  • Utilize Salesforce data analytics and reporting tools to train the sales team and develop new strategies on identifying trends, improving lead conversion, realtor engagement and optimizing sales opportunities.
  • Develop the Salesforce mapping tool to effectively help our sales team prospect and generate opportunities for future sales.
  • Regularly coach sales leadership on Salesforce adoption on the team and provide insights and expertise to help drive sales achievement.
  • Operate as the subject matter expert by staying current with Salesforce developments and innovations, applying new features and techniques to improve sales outcomes.
  • Assist with special initiatives as directed by the Director of Sales Training and the National Vice President of Sales.
  • Create and manage onboarding processes for new sales team members, ensuring seamless integration with Salesforce systems and practices.
  • Provide individualized Salesforce training as needed to enhance the skills of team members.
  • Drive best practices by developing and maintaining standardized Salesforce processes, ensuring alignment across regions and teams, accounting for unique needs of different sales divisions and team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred. Additional years of experience in Sales Training role will be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Salesforce training and accreditation highly preferred.
  • At least 7 years of sales experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Heavy experience and proficiency in Salesforce.
  • Strong proficiency in Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong Oral/Written Communication and Interpersonal, and Customer Service skills; ability to communicate effectively with a high degree of professionalism.
  • Frequent interactions with a wide variety of internal and external contacts, with all levels of authority and responsibility.
  • Ability to react and respond favorably, manage conflict, and resolve problems in a professional manner.
  • Team Player; and demonstrated ability to work within cross-functional teams.
  • Sound judgment and a high level of integrity with the ability address sensitive and confidential information and make good decisions under pressure.
  • Results-oriented, accurate, with keen attention to detail.
