Regional Finance ManagerApply now »Date: Oct 5, 2024Location: Leola, PA, USCompany: Dart ContainerIn this role, you will oversee financial partnerships and provide financial consultation to manufacturing operations. You will also be esponsible for managing the manufacturing accounting staff in the development of operating plans and forecasts, supporting product costing processes and in the accounting functions related to cost of goods sold for all production and distribution centers for Dart Container and affiliates. In addition, you'll be responsible for identifying, designing, and implementing solutions to improve efficiencies and customer service .Day-to-Day Role:Manage the annual operating plan for plant operating expenses and capital expendituresManage variance analysis to plan and reforecast plan during the plan yearOversee the annual product cost standard setting process, periodic updates as required and daily development of the product costsManage the accounting processes for journal entries, account reconciliations and timely financial reporting and analysis in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Manage the monthly cost center spending, inventory levels and production standard earned analysisManage the timely and accurate completion of month-end, year-end and ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis. Ensure all activities are completed in an efficient manner.Identify and implement strategic initiatives to improve efficiencies and customer serviceCreate accurate and concise verbal and written communications to internal departments and external business partners about accounting-related informationManage special projects individually or as part of a cross-functional team, ensuring timely decision making and completionDevelop KPIs and manage, perform, and interpret data analytics to assist in business decisionsSupport accounting policy implementation and training of plant accounting personnel. Enforce, support, and seek to enhance the procedures around internal controls through cooperation and collaboration with the Internal Audit departmentCollaborate with the Accounting Directors to ensure that the manufacturing accounting staff is supporting each area in an appropriate mannerMaintain secure control of accounting-related documentation; invoices, checks, journal entries, financial statementsEnsure accurate job aids are maintained for processesReview staff levels to ensure they are adequate and resources are effectively allocated to meet short- and long-term objectivesPlan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of staffResponsible for employee development, discipline, performance appraisals, and administration of policies and assignment of breaks, lunches, and other relief periodsMake overtime, hiring, firing, and pay adjustment recommendationsCore Skills and Qualifications:The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in accounting or financeTen (10) years of experience in accounting or financeEight (8) years of experience working in a manufacturing environment with plant managers and other business partners with an emphasis on cost analysisThree (3) years supervisory experience required with strong leadership and management skillsExperience in assisting with development of financial justifications for capital expenditures and performance improvement projectsKnowledge of query, reporting, and data analysis toolsMicrosoft Excel skills to include the ability to create spreadsheets (e.g., formulas such as V-lookup, graphs, pivot tables)Excellent verbal and written skills necessary in order to communicate intricate job-related processes to internal customersProven analytical problem solverStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to think strategically and creatively to develop new ideas and solutionsOrganizational skills including the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlinesAbility to perform duties with minimal supervisionExcels in leading a team environment, leading towards the common goal of the department as a wholeMust be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environmentPreferred Skills and Qualifications:Certified Public Accountant (“CPA”) or Certified Management Accountant (“CMA”)SAP experienceOverview: Dart makes everyday products that give people the freedom to enjoy the food & drinks they love, wherever they are.
