The purpose of the role is to assist in developing Sussex Weald Homes’ strategy and the key performance indicators required to achieve it.
In addition, you will support the Chair, Directors, and Managing Director to ensure that Sussex Weald Homes Ltd fulfills their responsibility to the Shareholder (Wealden District Council) through the Board. You will also provide constructive challenge to the proposals brought to the board.
Crucially, a non-executive director must balance the need to remain independent of the day-to-day operations of the Company, with the need to maintain and display a level of knowledge that will enable them to ask perceptive and objective questions. As directors of Sussex Weald Homes, the non-executive director will collectively share responsibility for the overall performance and success of the organisation.
You will also ensure that the Company discharges its duties in a sustainable, cost-effective, and efficient way that delivers positive outcomes and high levels of customer satisfaction.
