The Opportunity | Corporate Counsel
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Corporate Attorney specializing in contract negotiation to join our legal team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the legal integrity of our business transactions and partnerships.
As a VP of Business Development - Healthcare, Your Role Will Include…
- Review, redline, draft, and negotiate contracts with clients and vendors in various industries/business sectors per corporate contractual requirements.
- Provide legal counsel and guidance on contract matters to various departments within the organization.
- Analyze contracts for legal risks and compliance issues.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop contract strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Assist in the resolution of contractual disputes and other legal issues.
- Be familiar with all aspects of global privacy law and regulation, including data protection and privacy, data retention, data transfers, data security and data breach rules.
What Will You Need to Succeed?
- Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar and active license to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience practicing corporate law, with a strong focus on contract negotiation.
- Proven track record of drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal), negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in a corporate legal department or law firm.
- Knowledge of corporate governance principles and regulations.
- Familiarity with technology transactions and intellectual property issues is a plus.
