Agility Partners is seeking a qualified Data Engineer to fill an open position with one of our banking clients. This role offers the opportunity to design solutions that help manage, secure, and generate value from data. The position involves creating scalable and reusable solutions for data gathering, storing, processing, and serving on both small and large scales, using on-premise and cloud-based data platforms. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects in a dynamic environment, ensuring a positive customer experience while managing risk effectively.

In this role you will...

  • Work independently to meet with line of business, understand their requirements, and break them down for functional design.
  • Collaborate with technical team members to communicate requirements and determine proper technical design.
  • Create clear and complete Test Acceptance criteria, execute testing to ensure accurate output during Unit and UAT.
  • Build CI/CD pipelines, self-service build tools, and automated deployment processes.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Strong communication skills to convey ideas to management, business and IT sponsors, and technical resources.
  • Proficient in SQL (3-5 years of experience), DataStage (ETL), DBT, Snowflake, and Python.
  • Conceptual understanding of big data technologies, metadata management, ETL tools, data visualization and reporting tools, data warehousing, SQL, data testing, major cloud, or REST API design and development.
  • Experience with SDLC, project management, release management protocols, and task management for implementation.
  • Ability to provide guidance and mentoring for other team members, and manage and prioritize multiple assignments effectively.
