The VUE is looking for a motivated and dynamic Director of Event Sales to join our team and bring beautiful events to this stunning, newly renovated venue. If you are passionate about sales and helping people bring their dream events to life, this will be a rewarding place for you. We seek someone with a high sales drive and a people-forward personality to help us operate this incredible venue.

This stunning venue among acres of rolling hills offers a picturesque backdrop to special events of every type. The newly renovated grand venue offers unsurpassed flexibility of spectacular indoor and outdoor settings to host a truly one-of-a-kind event.

Responsibilities

  1. Field all sales calls and email inquiries with timely and hospitality-driven responses, convert leads to bookings and finalize event contracts
  2. Work on-site at varying times and hours to accommodate client meetings, tours, walkthroughs, and events
  3. Embody the culture of The VUE and help cultivate that mindset in the team for seamless and enjoyable events
  4. Create and nurture new leads for weddings, corporate & private events, and golf outings
  5. Partner with the General Manager, Head Chef, and Banquet Manager to plan & execute events
  6. Support The VUE public relations/outreach efforts in the local community
  7. Coordinate and lead the hourly team throughout the events to ensure food & beverage quality
  8. Coordinate with event guests throughout their booking experience to ensure their needs are met
  9. Build rapport with clients quickly to foster trust and confidence
  10. Supply information and content for marketing materials and social media when possible
  11. Work with a range of client budgets while maximizing profits
  12. Conduct all planning appointments including but not limited to: menu revision, floor plan design, construction of itinerary, and scheduling future appointments
  13. Assist in the design of brochures and other promotional materials

Qualifications:

  1. 4+ years’ managerial/event experience in a high-volume catering facility or restaurant
  2. Passion for great people & great events
  3. Sales driven nature
  4. Proficiency in spreadsheets and word processing
  5. Experience with Toast and TripleSeat a plus
  6. Project management skills and a detail-oriented eye
  7. Excellent organizational and communication skills
  8. Ability to work both individually and in a team setting
  9. Nights and weekend availability required
  10. Strong social media skills (Facebook and Instagram especially)
  11. Local marketing experience preferred

Compensation & Benefits:

  1. Pay: $70,000 - $90,000 plus Commission Plan
  2. Benefits Package
  3. Two Weeks Paid Vacation
