Job Description

The preferred candidate will be highly motivated with demonstrated initiative, and have a thorough understanding of software engineering principles and best practices, and defined SW development methodology.

The successful candidate will be able to participate in all software life cycle activities including: planning, requirements analysis, design – architecture and detailed design, implementation, HW/SW integration, and verification/validation.

A strong desire to learn, implement, and advocate for the use of defined SW development methodologies, such as MIL-STD-498 or J-STD-016 and the best practices contained therein, may offset a lack of the preferred knowledge and experience.

The preferred technical knowledge and experience includes as many of the following as possible: VxWorks or other RTOS, BSP, real-time embedded SW, PowerPC, x86 processors, multi-core and multi-tasking techniques, C/C++, Ada, Assembly, OpenGL, MIL-STD-1553, UART, RS232, gigabit Ethernet, PCI express, Serial Rapid IO, Fibre channel, ClearCase/ClearQuest, TeamView, competency in HW/SW integration in a lab environment, design and documentation skills including military development documents and methodology and, Control and Data Flow Diagrams.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  1. 8+ years of Software Engineering experience
  2. Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline
  3. Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident due to ITAR restrictions
