Requirements of the Tax Manager:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA highly desirable
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience with public accounting
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Desktop
- Knowledge of GAAP and Tax Basis Accounting (Cash & Accrual)
- Strong client service and communication skills
Responsibilities of the Tax Manager:
- Prepare and review all types of tax returns (1040, 1120, 1065, etc.) efficiently
- Assist with client projects and act as the lead on client relationships
- Develop and maintain client relationships, providing comprehensive tax and estate planning
- Mentor and develop team members, overseeing workflow on office projects
- Support the firm’s advisory services and participate in billing and WIP analysis
- Travel occasionally to client offices and meetings as needed
- Handle additional duties as assigned during tax season and beyond
