Job Requirements / Description
- Create and update the wine list, writing detailed descriptions in coordination with the Beverage Director.
- Oversee wine and beverage inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels and effective management of the wine cellar.
- Organize and maintain the wine cellar layout in coordination with the Beverage Director to ensure efficient storage and accessibility.
- Manage daily wine service, ensuring wines are served at the right temperature and in appropriate glassware.
- Conduct wine training and tasting sessions for staff, including wines of the month and wine-by-the-glass options, in collaboration with the Beverage Director.
- Recommend and pair wines with food offerings, working with the culinary team to enhance the overall dining experience.
- Advise guests on wine selections based on their personal tastes and food choices, and provide information about different wine varieties and prices.
- Store open bottles properly to maintain their quality and ensure strong taste.
