Prime Video is seeking a Sr. Creative Services Manager, Design for our growing Global Live Sports Production team. This role will work with the Head of Creative Services to support the entire Live Sports Production team in the development and execution of creative strategies and graphics package designs. You will drive projects that enhance our brand’s identity and resonate with our audience. You will be responsible for delivering best-in-class, breakthrough creative design for our live sports offerings. This role requires collaborative leadership, ownership, vision, the ability to deal with ambiguity, and a drive to learn and be curious.

This role will be a driving force behind the conception, execution and support of on-air graphics for all Live Sports Productions, working closely with the Head of Creative Services, Executive and Coordinating Producers while coordinating workflows between internal and external partners. The Sr. Creative Services Manager, Design will focus on the on-air creative design and look, development of our own Graphics production pipeline, and build an industry leading standard Graphics department to service the needs of our entire portfolio.

A successful candidate will have experience managing teams and workflows related to all facets of on air/live sports graphics design working alongside production, production operations and the technical operations teams, often with little oversight. You will need to be a quick learner – able to understand and follow stakeholder workflows and timelines.

You will find yourself in scenarios where you are working as part of a team and where you act on behalf of our team. The ability to balance competing priorities and deadlines will be critical to the success of this position.

The desire and ability to learn and be curious, staying on the cutting edge of graphic design trends and technology specific to that field will be of the utmost importance. You will need to thrive in a startup environment, and working on projects that may be foreign to some of your industry peers. Overall sports knowledge and understanding of each properties graphics needs and nuances will also be crucial to success.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Providing creative direction and guidance to a team of designers, editors, and other creative professionals, ensuring their work aligns with the Prime Video’s overall vision and goals.
  2. Ensuring that Prime Video’s visual identity remains consistent across all platforms, including on-air graphics, logos, and promotional materials.
  3. Collaborating with both internal and external partners such as advertisers, sponsors, and sports leagues to help in the creation of content and sponsorship opportunities.
  4. Overseeing the budget for creative projects and ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to achieve desired outcomes.
  5. Conducting market research and competitive analysis to stay informed about industry trends and best practices in sports broadcasting.
  6. Ability to coordinate and track high volume of work through an end-to-end workflow.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, can clearly articulate and document technical processes and workflows.
  8. Adaptability and resilience to quick changes in priorities, tools, workflow and technology.
  9. Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, 3D Modeling Applications, Microsoft Office products.
  10. Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role.
  11. Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Keynote.
  • Experience leading creative development of innovative creative from concept to delivery.
  • Experience presenting creative concepts effectively to senior executives.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines.
  • Experience managing creative (internal team of designers, external agencies and freelancers).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working in both event/game and studio/shoulder programming settings.
  • Experience working on or with large-scale, global projects.
  • Experience presenting to peers and up to 3 levels above own.
