Health & Safety Manager / Safety Manager / EHS Manager
Exciting opportunity for a passionate hands-on Health and Safety Manager to join a F500 consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturer. Manage all aspects of plant H&S to ensure a safe, accident-free work environment. Develop, lead, implement, and support the plant safety culture.

Mentor and manage 10 direct reports (6 Safety and 4 Security). Report to the Plant Manager and be a key member of the Leadership Team.
Compensation: $100K - $150K + 15% bonus + 9% 401K match + outstanding relocation.
Location: Modesto, CA
Responsibilities include:
- Manage all aspects of Health and Safety programs.
- Drive a comprehensive, multi-year strategy to continue the plant's journey towards Health & Safety excellence.
- Provide strategic leadership, training, and guidance for the Safety department including people, data, and budgetary responsibility.
- Lead the conduction of accident investigations, root cause analysis, and compile accident reports.
- Provide technical expertise, strategic leadership, and support plant on regulatory compliance issues in Safety.
- Build world-class safety programs.
- Build and manage Safety Committees.
- Plan, implement, and ensure effective training of all H&S programs.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement risk management strategies.
- Experience in leading accident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Ensure effective communication and compliance of State, Federal, Local, and Corporate Safety regulations.
Qualifications:
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 7+ years H&S experience in a medium to large manufacturing plant.
- 5+ years of supervisory/leadership/management experience.
- In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal health and safety regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
- Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and implementing risk management strategies.
- Experience in leading accident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Lean / Continuous Improvement mindset.
- Solid ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, influence safety culture, and drive compliance initiatives.
- CSP certification, a plus.
