If these types of projects excite you, we’d love for you to join our team and help us detect, protect, and connect.ResponsibilitiesWe currently have an opportunity for a talented DC Test Technician to test high-voltage DC power supplies at our Torrance, CA location. In this full-time hourly position, you will conduct the full range of testing on our 2.8-10 kV switching power supplies, from initial testing through environmental test. You’ll check all circuits (logic, fault, etc.) that monitor power supply condition and repair or replace any failed components, such as transformers, inductors or capacitors.Effectively test all PCB boards for electrical profiles per test specification.Monitor and record ongoing testing. When specifications are met, record final data such as gain, power, noise and other parameters.Use Thermal Temp chambers with understanding of RF and DC test set-up in compliance to test specification and methodologies.Prepare amplifier units to meet RF specifications through a series of environmental conditions as required by written test procedures.Maintain records on each unit tested and update routers as necessary.Troubleshoot hardware and all electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment associated with test to determine causes of deviations from acceptable test results.QualificationsRequires an associate's degree in electronics or a related field, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.At least 3 years of experience testing DC power supplies, preferably at high voltages, with strong DC troubleshooting skills.Good knowledge of analog and digital circuits.Thorough understanding of electronic theory is needed.Must be able to operate standard test equipment, such as oscilloscopes or DMMs.Requires the ability to read and interpret test instructions, assembly instructions and engineering drawings.Basic computer skills are required, with knowledge of Microsoft office applications needed.Effective communication skills are necessary in order to work effectively with team members, supervisors, and other employees.Familiarity with electronic test equipment and the use of high-voltage power supplies, including high-voltage safety practices, is necessary.Must be able to read and interpret test instructions, assembly instructions, and engineering drawings (blueprints).Proficiency with PCs and Microsoft Office applications is needed.Preferred Qualifications:Familiarity with environmental testing, such as altitude, vibration and temperature cycling, is a plus.Stellant Systems is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
