Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) Engineer, magniX USA, Inc., Everett, WA. Responsible for electronic engineering activities to develop, integrate, and qualify our electric propulsion systems.Duties and responsibilities include: • Develop detailed layouts of rigid and rigid-flex printed circuit boards for a cutting-edge aircraft electrical propulsion system. • Review and ensure layouts are error-free and adhere to design rules, specifications, and IPC standards. • Collaborate with internal teams and PCB vendors, create PCB/PCBA designs including stack-up, constraints, component placement, and routing, following DFX principles. • Generate drawings, manufacturing files, and other documentation for PCB fabrication, assembly, and internal verification. • Create and maintain component footprint and schematic symbol library. • Review existing PCB designs and recommend improvements. • Provide feedback to hardware design engineers to ensure PCB designs' functionality and manufacturability. • Provide solutions addressing PCB design challenges, including best practices for EMC, clearance/creepage, etc.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: A bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign degree equivalent) in electronic engineering or a closely related field. Experience: Five years of experience in an electronic engineering field or related occupation.SKILLS/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must include five years of experience with each of the following skills: • PCB design using Altium Designer and Cadence Allegro; • Design of PCB layouts and schematics drafting; • Design for EMI/EMC certification and compliance standards; • Analog, digital, and mixed signal circuit design; • High speed interfaces including SATA, Ethernet, USB, and SPI; • Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, and Test Requirements; and, • Delivering final PCB output files to FAB and Assembly vendors.Experience may be gained concurrently.Basic pay range is one hundred forty-eight thousand dollars to one hundred fifty thousand dollars annually for full-time employment.Standard Benefits include: • 100% company-paid premiums for medical, dental, and vision insurance (for employees & dependents). • 9.5% 401K company contribution. • Life insurance. • ADD insurance. • Long-term and Short-term Disability Insurance. • Employee Assistance Program (EAP). • 4 weeks paid vacation + 1-week annual end-of-year shutdown, sick time, and 11 paid holidays. • Relocation package available • Catered lunches and company fun-day events!
