One of our clients in Glendale, California is looking for a Data Product Manager with the following skills and experience:
We are seeking a Senior Data Product Manager to lead the development and delivery of data-driven products, driving business value through data insights and governance. This role is ideal for someone with a robust background in data product management, SQL, and exceptional communication skills, who can effectively collaborate with both engineering teams and high-level business stakeholders in an agile environment.
Must Have Skills:
1)Data Product experience is required
2)Proficiency with SQL
3)Data Governance is nice to have but not required
4)Snowflake or Databricks-this is not an engineering role but needs to have experience with either technology
Required Qualifications :
- 7+ years of experience in data product management or a similar role within data-focused environments.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, with the ability to query, analyze, and interpret complex datasets.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing, data governance, and data security principles.
- Experience with data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks is highly desirable, though not required.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with engineers and business stakeholders alike.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI, and an understanding of data architecture and modeling.
- Experience in agile environments, with a focus on delivering value through iterative development.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience in the media and entertainment industry is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and their business applications is advantageous.
Education :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
