Konami Gaming is looking for a Director, Product Management to join our team!

This position is responsible for product planning and product launch for the Games Division. This includes managing the product throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision and roadmap, product End-of-Life and product launch strategies, and working closely with R&D to deliver high quality and innovative products. The Director, Product Management will ensure that the product lifecycle management efforts support the company's overall financial and strategic goals. This position also requires the flexibility to act autonomously at all times while adhering to overall department and company policies and procedures.

What you'll be doing:

  1. Create product plan for company’s gaming products.
  2. Define and develop product strategies and roadmaps for the Games Division.
  3. Define market segments, release and implementation strategy. Develop product plan to support those various market segments.
  4. Research, analyze, and communicate game product requirements. Communicate to R&D related to market demands, market issues, and localization or product requirements.
  5. Deliver market requirement documents and product requirement documents to development teams with prioritized features and corresponding justification.
  6. Create product development requests to kickoff games development to meet product plan objectives.
  7. Manage and coordinate products with R&D, Sales, Manufacturing, and Customer Service for completion of all critical items for product release, localization requirements, and communicate those requirements to engineering on a timely basis.
  8. Provide product line updates to the executive management team.
  9. Serve as the product expert by analyzing customer requirements and performing technical analysis, competitive, and ROI analysis.
  10. Manage products through lifecycle (product inception, release planning, set product priorities, validate enhancements, and bug fixes, product module launch and End-of-Life strategies and plans).
  11. Ensure that regulatory requirements are considered in the continual design of the product.
  12. Work productively with and support key stakeholders to ensure the company achieves product plan objectives.
  13. Develop product naming and trademark strategies.

Additional Duties:

  1. Develop sales tools to support ongoing and future business needs.
  2. Work with Marketing to produce press releases pertaining to company products and develop sales tools and marketing collateral.
  3. In conjunction with Marketing, participate in focus groups and user forums to determine customer opinions and needs.
  4. Provide competitive analysis on products in the market.
  5. Provide input to Marketing on the games portion of the website for external and internal reference.
  6. Provide input to Marketing on branding of the games product, positioning, and pricing implementation.
  7. Define product strategy for trade shows and other company events.
  8. Participate in trade show sales support, including in-depth demonstrations and communicating detailed product knowledge.
  9. Perform product demonstrations to large prospective customers or gaming enterprise organizations.
  10. Conduct training of newly released products.
  11. Oversee, train, and mentor the product management team. Provide direction to ensure the company achieves the goals defined in the product plan.

What we'll want you to have:

  1. Relative Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred) required, certification from an accredited institution recommended.
  2. 5 years minimum experience in Product Management and/or Marketing, 10 plus preferred.
  3. Demonstrated success defining and launching gaming products for a minimum of five years.
  4. Must be able to communicate verbally and write in English.
  5. Must be fully proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  6. Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat.
  7. Must be able to obtain and retain gaming licensure.

Additional Requirements:

  • Travel Percentage: 35% - Employee must be flexible to the needs of the business.

Work Environment:

  • Full time / 40 + Hours per week. Must be flexible for overtime, including evenings, weekends, and Holidays as required.
  • Must be comfortable working in a cubicle with limited working space for long hours with the ability to remain seated at the computer terminal for extended periods. Extreme repetitive motion using keyboard, mouse, and telephone. Position can be high stress and extremely fast-paced. Ability to handle directive, assess situations, enter into dialogue, and complete tasks. Must be able to communicate verbally and write in English. Must be able to travel and drive a vehicle independently.
  • Position shall work primarily in an office environment. Position shall maintain a cubicle in close proximity to other cubicles and offices.
