Position Summary

The Associate Director plays a critical role in the Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP). The Director of Partnership Development will work closely with the Vice President of our Corporate Work Study Program to help Cristo Rey San Diego High School (CRSDHS) meet its corporate jobs objectives through driving new corporate partner acquisition. The primary goal is to create enough jobs so that 90% of our students are in paid/funded jobs.

The Associate Director is expected to spend a significant amount of their time off campus, following up on leads, prospecting, and meeting with potential customers. We also expect that the director will be on campus from time to time for essential meetings and to build school staff relationships.

What You’ll Do

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Create enough jobs so that 90% of our students are in paid or funded corporate jobs!
  • Help lead the development of a robust partnership strategy and execute the plan to through high activity to acquire partners and build our pipeline of partners.
  • Manage the sales cycle with new partners including lead generation and cultivation, securing face-to-face meetings, selling the program, and closing.
  • Build a database of potential partners through referrals from current sponsors/partners, board members, the jobs committee, other supporters of the school, and your own research and network.
  • Maintain up-to-date records in the CRM.
  • Plan and execute events in service of job recruitment.
  • Collaborate with the VP to create and nurture a well-rounded Corporate Work Study Program Board.
  • Increase awareness of the CWSP among San Diego business leaders.
  • Develop relationships with several “centers of influences” that are sources of referrals and introductions.
  • Attend networking events and meetings to increase the number of prospects in the pipeline.
  • In collaboration with the VP of CWSP, recommend and help with the design of marketing materials, tools, etc. ensuring that our message is compelling, high quality and evokes action to become a partner.
  • Work with Advancement to leverage and cultivate individual donor prospects identified through the job recruitment process who may be able to assist the school at large.
  • Working primarily in the field, while also being on campus occasionally to be in meetings and build community with all stakeholders to ensure effective stewardship.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree required with a preference for study in marketing, communications, administration, or similar field.
  • Proven track record of sales success where you demonstrate generating new customers and developing current customers.
  • 3 or more years of proven success with lead generation and securing corporate sales, fundraising or sponsorship.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude, relationship-building skills, a high level of self-motivation, and a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Competent in programs like Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint and familiar with customer relationship manager (CRM) systems.
  • Passion for Cristo Rey San Diego High School’s model, Mission and Values.
  • Sensitivity to and respect for the socioeconomic, racial, and religious backgrounds of the student body.
