Position: Design Engineer
Location: Central Florida
Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the design team to create detailed roadway designs that comply with regulations and standards.
• Assist in project plans, feasibility studies, and cost estimates for roadway infrastructure.
• Select materials and prepare engineering specifications for construction and maintenance projects.
• Develop alignment and geometric designs for roads and intersections, emphasizing safety and accessibility.
• Obtain permits and approvals, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Provide technical support during construction, addressing design issues and overseeing progress.
• Conduct inspections and quality control checks to maintain design standards.
• Integrate environmental considerations into designs, including stormwater management and impact assessments.
• Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules effectively.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of relevant engineering design experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (focus on Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical preferred).
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) license preferred; EIT candidates considered.
• Proficiency in design software (Microstation, Open Roads, AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
• Familiarity with structural analysis software (STAAD, RAM, E-Tabs, etc.).
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and roadway design standards.
• Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Collaborative mindset with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects.
