WHAT YOU’LL DO AT COASTAL

The Deposit Operations Specialist I will provide internal and external teams as well as Bank customers general support for processes and services within the Deposit Operations Department, including problem resolution. In this role, you’ll assist in processing Account Servicing, Item Processing, Compliance Processing, Legal Processing, Exception Processing, and New Account Review, as well as IRA/CD Processing. You’ll deliver the “Coastal Difference” through your top-notch customer service.

HOW YOU’LL DO IT

  • Provide outstanding customer service to our internal partners and external customers.
  • Provide general support and problem resolution to internal and external customers for issues related to Account Servicing and Exception Processing, Item Processing, Compliance Processing, Legal Processing, New Account Review, and IRA/CD Processing.
  • Provide general customer support for deposit operations programs, including but not limited to FIS Horizon and Deposit Origination.
  • Communicate effectively and promptly with customers, both external and internal.
  • Provide general support and educate bank customers on each area housed in the Deposit Operations Department.
  • Assist branch staff in resolving all issues related to Deposit Operations systems, services, and products.
  • Review ATM deposits for potential fraud and missing/improper endorsements; communicate with branches on placing holds, as needed.
  • Provide customer service following Coastal Community Bank’s Core Values.
  • Adhere to all regulations and compliance policies.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Maintain an understanding of all products and services offered.
  • Knowledge in using various Windows-based programs, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • The ability to work within a team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • The ability to resolve problems and recognize appropriate escalation points and practices.
  • The ability to successfully complete multiple tasks/projects and deadlines.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • At least one year of related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Previous banking experience preferred.
