This role is based at one of our corporate offices in McLean, VA.

This is your chance to be part of a Finance Team that is a critical business partner that manages all global activities related to financial performance, accounting, tax, forecasting, risk management, and asset management. As an analyst on the Technology Finance team reporting to the Manager of Technology Finance, you will focus on the areas of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting of Hilton’s Technology organization.

How You Will Make An Impact

Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.

What Your Day-to-day Will Be Like

Develop annual operating plans by identifying financial and operational opportunities through detailed analysis of financials and communication with the Technology teams.
Prepare, analyze, and present monthly financial performance, identifying variances, risks & opportunities, key trends, and business drivers that impact financial performance.
Assist Accounting team with month-end closing activities such as reclasses, prepaid amortizations and accruals.
Develop presentations that compare data, highlight risks & opportunities, and focus on qualitative and quantitative issues.

How You Will Collaborate With Others

Document, review and assess allocations and allocation methodology to help ensure internal allocations and external billings are accounted for and communicated accurately.
Assist in preparing business cases, investment requests and contract assessments for the Technology team.
Disseminate and communicate approved projects within the department and with senior leaders/constituents from other departments.

What Projects You Will Take Ownership Of

Participate in business and process improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness within the department.
Provide support to SVP Global Brands & Commercial Services (GBCS) Finance, VP Global FP&A, and Accounting as required.

WHY YOU’LL BE A GREAT FIT

You Have These Minimum Qualifications

Two (2) years of analytical experience within a financial function.
One (1) year of work experience in financial planning and analysis or equivalent experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite, including experience using Microsoft Excel to build financial models.

It Would Be Useful If You Have

BA/BS Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
One (1) year of work experience in a corporate environment and/or hospitality industry.
Experience with Oracle PeopleSoft, Hyperion Essbase, SmartView, Power BI, Power Pivot.
