Position Summary
Administrative Nurse I is responsible for directing patient care, related unit activities and personnel on an assigned shift utilizing the Nursing Process and Relationship-Based Care model as the framework in order to ensure quality patient care and work flow. The ANI identifies work priorities, determines and coordinates daily assignments and staff scheduling. The Administrative Nurse I takes initiative to improve patient outcomes by integrating Shared Leadership, Evidence Based Practice, Relationship Based Care and standards of nursing excellence into practice. Through therapeutic relationships with patients, families, self and colleagues, the Administrative Nurse I functions as role model who directs patient care and fulfills unit and organizational goals.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Direct patient care, related unit activities and personnel on an assigned shift utilizing the Nursing Process and Relationship-Based Care model.
- Identify work priorities, determine and coordinate daily assignments and staff scheduling.
- Initiate improvements in patient outcomes by integrating Shared Leadership, Evidence Based Practice, Relationship Based Care and nursing excellence standards.
- Function as a role model who directs patient care and fulfills unit and organizational goals.
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- Licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in Illinois.
- One year of RN experience minimum.
- Current AHA BLS/CPR and other required unit specific certifications.
- Effective communication skills (oral and written).
- Intermediate computer skills with ability to become proficient in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Excellent attendance, interpersonal skills and work history.
- Three (3) years of RN experience required.
- One (1) year of Charge Nurse experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
BSN preferred.
