JOB OVERVIEW:
As a Payroll Coordinator you will support the Senior Payroll Manager with day-to-day compliance of timekeeping. In your role you will be a liaison between Managers/Employees and the payroll function to ensure compliance with State and Federal wage and hour laws.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Review timesheets to ensure accuracy.
  • Review time edit forms submitted by the managers for completeness.
  • Responsible for printing biweekly timesheets for all department managers.
  • Responsible for creating payroll packets per pay period for each department for employee signature with all necessary documents such as missing time edit form, attestation, Penalty Issue notice.
  • Prepare and issue daily missing punches, meal break penalty, and overtime reports via email to management.
  • Answers emails and phone calls.
  • Work with HR to implement and enforce initiatives in support of company guidelines and in compliance with governing regulations.
  • Responsible for auditing and compliance per pay period.
  • Assist with AP/AR as needed.
  • Support payroll manager as required.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Prefer 2 year of payroll experience
  • Customer Service experience required
  • Carry out specific oral or written instructions.
  • Speak clearly and listen carefully
  • Communicate efficiently with colleagues at all levels
  • Write clearly using accurate grammar and punctuations
  • Think logically to make decisions.
  • Speak and write clearly and with authority.
  • Must know Excel & Outlook.
  • Time management skills
  • Available in working PM, weekends and holidays
Physical Demands :
  • Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time to accomplish data entry and report generation.
  • Must be able to utilize computer and monitor.
  • Must be able to exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
