TR has a bold vision to be the leader in AI-powered, content-driven technology, and the Senior Product Manager, Practical Law will work closely with colleagues from Product, Compliance, Engineering, TR Labs, and Design teams who are already dedicated to delivering on this mission. Teams are working closely with customers to create a product experience that is unmatched in the market today. In this role, you will work with leaders and stakeholders from these teams in refining our product roadmap, while also playing a hands-on role in leading cross-functional distributed product teams through product discovery and delivery.
About the Role:
The Senior Product Manager, Practical Law will own the vision, direction, and priorities for the feature or product area they are responsible for, managing the product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical execution. The Sr. PM, Practical Law will have a strong technical background and a firm understanding of AI and ML technologies and how to develop solutions that build upon Practical Law content and expertise to solve customer problems. They will be comfortable with ambiguity and the need to respond to a rapidly evolving market. The Sr. PM, Practical Law will work closely with colleagues in editorial, as well as other product groups, to deliver solutions of the highest quality, accuracy, and customer value. The Sr. PM will be able to communicate customer needs crisply and succinctly across the organization and work with design and engineering teams to translate those needs into clear priorities, compelling roadmaps, and high-impact, innovative solutions. The balance between tactical execution and strategic vision is critical at this level as is the ability to coordinate across multiple functions simultaneously.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will find that no two days or hours are alike - from working on product strategy to assessing feature performance metrics to leading customer interactions to writing stories and user acceptance criteria, roadmap planning, and more. You will be accountable to make sure we maximize customer and business value using Practical Law guidance and expertise.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will:
Develop strong product intuition by interpreting and assessing customer problems, business needs, and opportunities and offering potential solutions with a moderate level of guidance and direction.
Build world-class capabilities and products by creating a vision for the product, maintaining the product roadmap for your features, and partnering closely with the dev team, UX, and other partners to execute the roadmap and deliver efficiently. This includes defining your product or feature backlog based on customer and business value and using metrics to monitor and measure progress.
Demonstrate leadership by taking extreme ownership of a feature/product, its performance and reliability, and delighting our clients with a positive experience as it is deployed in end-to-end product experiences. You will show that you can learn from your experiences, recover from setbacks, and effectively evangelize the product vision to colleagues.
You will be a well-rounded AI expert for our teams by staying on the cutting edge of AI and technology development, inspiring teams to ideate and experiment with applying AI, and sharing your unique perspective on how AI can propel the legal profession through writing, blogging, and shareouts with teams and customers.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experienced Product Management professional.
Strong technical background, with a degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, required.
JD degree or strong legal background and understanding of legal use cases developed through education and/or work experience preferred.
Demonstrated understanding of prompt engineering and other strategies, such as content optimization and taxonomy utilization, for purposes of developing AI-driven skills or features preferred.
Understanding of legal use cases and content preferred.
4+ years of Product Management or equivalent experience.
Experience developing and delivering solutions that employ AI, ML, Gen AI and related tech is required.

The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $132,400 - $246,000. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following states: KS, MI, MN, NY, VA. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $114,400 - $212,400. The base compensation range in other locations may vary. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity.
