Job Requirements / Description
One of the AGM – primary objective is to provide an above and beyond experience for guests while showing a deep understanding of our wine list, the guest’s palate and the ability to provide a wine that the guest will enjoy, either by direct contact with the guests or through the service staff.
Compensation:
- 70,000 - 80,000 annually depending on experience
- Bonus program
- % Bonus off of base salary if budgeted Net Income is met = 5%
- % Bonus off of base salary if budgeted Net Income exceeds 1.5x. = 10%

Duties and responsibilities
As an AGM, your job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Express a passion for food and wine pairing, specifically Cassia (SE Asian) cuisine and be able to use it while guiding guests.
- Remembering regular guests- their preferences and palates.
- Be up to date on menu knowledge- includes all spirits, wines by the glass, cocktails, and food items.
- Attend and contribute to daily pre-shift meetings.
- Maintain a management presence on the floor during service hours, execute manager duties
- Maintaining proper dining experience as it pertains to Cassia: in a proper/timely manner with poise, etiquette, and efficiency.
- Teach the service staff to properly present, open, and pour wine tableside, and maintain that service standard for all wine service at Cassia.
- Knowledge of and ability to make all cocktails offered on the menu.
- Understands and can communicate products and services available.
- Following proper food handling and safety regulations, reporting injuries or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
- Perform management duties as assigned by the General Manager
- Step into the role of General Manager when the GM is not present at the restaurant.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a floor manager or AGM in a high-volume restaurant is preferred.
- Spanish language is preferred but not necessary.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Passion for hospitality and a desire to grow within the industry.
- A hands-on approach with a focus on team collaboration.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service skills, friendly and outgoing manner with the public.
- Flexibility in work assignments and shifts.
- Staff is expected to be at work on time to their scheduled shifts and maintain a professional appearance and be friendly and welcoming to guests and co-workers at all times.
- Ability to accept and follow verbal instructions and delegated tasks in English.
- Fundamental understanding of sanitation, cleanliness and personal hygiene.
- Possession of California Manager Food Handlers card.
