Skills Provision is searching for a Software Development Engineer for a network device supplier in Norway.

The Role

1. Contribute as part of the development team.
2. Interface with engineering peers, project managers, engineering services as required.
3. Design and implement embedded software targeted to operate in different hardware platforms.
4. Participate in combination with other company groups in the design of software solutions.
5. Create module/sub-module technical specifications based upon system level requirements, project plans and other appropriate processes.
6. Carry out simulation analysis over different hierarchical and elementary models to validate functionality and verify performance.
7. Design and implement embedded software targeted to test the different hardware modules developed by the company.
8. Implement company design standards to meet industry wide standards.
9. Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and unit test reviews.

Requirements

1. IT degree, preferably Master.
2. Secondary professional qualifications.
3. Minimum of 10 years’ experience working as a software developer.
4. Excellent programming skills are essential.
5. Good handling of real time operating systems and structured programming concepts is expected.
6. Noteworthy hands-on experience with microprocessors.
7. Experience using digital design test equipment.
8. Knowledge of communications interfaces and protocols.
