Regional President
Position Objectives: The Loan Documentation Specialist is responsible for ensuring all responsibilities are performed with professionalism and adhere to the highest standards. The Loan Documentation Specialist is responsible for processing new and renewed real estate loans, while ensuring that loan documents are prepared accurately and in accordance with the loan approval and verifying that loan files contain all of the proper documentation to satisfy regulatory requirements as well as bank policy prior to closing.
Essential Functions of this position:
Service Standards:
30%Ensure ASB's customer service and professionalism policies are adhered to in order to provide customers both internal and external with a quality service experience that exceeds customer expectations. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: Coordinate commercial loan closings by working with attorneys to have documents prepared, performing UCC searches, ordering title work and other necessary items in order to prepare a file for loan closing. Perform pre-closing review for real estate files processed by other employees as well as post-closing upload verification. Assist with special projects and other loan administration duties as needed. Understand and adhere to Loan Policies, customer confidentiality, and customer relationship management. Monitored by Loan Administration Manager with feedback provided by Chief Credit Officer and Regional President.
20% Assists Loan Administration Manager with creating efficient goals and implementing service strategies that will meet and or exceed those service goals. This is accomplished by participating with regular employee huddles, procedure training for the loan admin department and working closely with the other loan admin staff. Provide customer service for payoff requests, requests for payment or note research and provide assistance to Loan Officers and their assistants when needed. Monitored by Loan Administration Manager with feedback by Chief Credit Officer and Regional President.
Operational Standards:
30%Adheres toall operational policies and procedures in reference to new loans and/or existing loans set forth by American State Bank. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to; ensuring all CIP procedures are followed, providing accurate and complete boarding packages that contain all the necessary codes and tracking item data needed for upload to the core banking system during the loan setup, and ensuring the loan file is scanned to Synergy within a reasonable time period after loan closing. Monitored by Loan Administration Manager with feedback from Chief Credit Officer.
Compliance Standards:
20%Ensures regulatory policies and procedures are strictly adhered to in regards to all loan operations including the consumer and commercial loan process. Responsible for following all regulatory guidelines in reference to consumer and commercial loan procedures. Monitored by Loan Administration Manager with feedback provided by Risk Department.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field, may be waived in lieu of banking experience
  • Minimum two years loan processing and administration experience required

Training Requirements
  • Summary of job specific BSA training is required within 30 days of employment
  • Online BSA Training must be completed within 90 days of employment
