Infrastructure Project Manager

On behalf of our client, Procom Services is searching for an Infrastructure Project Manager for a contract opportunity in Dallas, TX.

The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the project produces the required deliverables, to the required standard of quality and within the specified constraints of time and cost. The Project Manager is normally responsible for medium to large complexity and or medium to large risk projects. This will include managing the governance, scope, costing, scheduling, communications, planning & tracking, terms & conditions and risk management of the project to ensure total customer satisfaction.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Defines the project requirements and manages the agreement process of the project requirements and objectives with the Project Governance Board or appointed project assurance role.
  2. Manages the delivery of the project and production of the required products / deliverables in partnership with the customer and FAI delivery units to ensure acceptance, closedown and handover to service.
  3. Reports to the relevant stakeholders through regular Status Reports.
  4. Manages business and project risks and produces an effective plan and risk assessment so that impact to timeframe and project costs are understood and mitigated.
  5. Establishes and maintains the Change Control (CC) for their project against agreed plans.
  6. Identifies opportunities to increase revenue and margin and manage changes to the project baseline.
  7. Is accountable for tracking the project costs and supporting any payment milestones.
  8. Manages the relationship and communications with key stakeholders (customer, subcontractors and Fujitsu); Grows long-term relationships with clients and capitalizes on equity and partnership opportunities.
  9. Manage activities of project resources and develops a team of personnel resources. Defines the roles and responsibilities of the project team, forecasts and establishes the project team and ensures that the team understands the task that is to be undertaken.
  10. Complies with and enforces FAI standard policies and procedures and works across practices to share lessons learned and best practices.
  11. Designing, testing and documentation of computer applications that FNA uses in providing services to our customers.

KEY MEASUREMENTS

  1. Project delivered within contractual obligations - on time, high quality and within budget.
  2. Client Satisfaction targets per client survey.
  3. Governance, risk management and other explicit control requirements adherence.
  4. Contribute to professional community through production and reusable content from other projects and lessons learned.
  5. Contribution to business development through identification of new opportunities.

SCOPE

  1. Accountable for delivering medium to high complexity and or medium to high risk projects (normally $500k project budget or more).
  2. Has ultimate authority to direct others and ensure project aligns with contractual obligations and client’s expectation; Commercial decision making authority within restraints of the documented FAI Signature Authority Process.
  3. Is fully accountable for own work and/or project/supervisory responsibilities.
  4. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
  5. Makes decisions that influence the success of projects and team objectives.

Qualifications

Infrastructure Project Manager Mandatory Skills

  1. Typically 8 + years IT project management experience.
  2. PMP certification and/or ITIL certification a plus.
  3. Detailed understanding of project management methodologies.
  4. High level conceptual understanding of IT domains (desktop, server, security, network, COTS applications, storage, database, WAN, LAN).
  5. Ability to communicate at senior levels and good commercial and influencing skills.
  6. Delivered more than 10 projects and experience of at least 2 types of project at different stages in lifecycle.
  7. Planning, financial and budgetary control skills.
  8. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Project, SharePoint and related “Project Management tool
