Summary
We are seeking an experienced Information Technology leader with experience leading IT department teams, processes, and technology initiatives while working closely with executive IT leadership and business unit leaders to develop and execute strategic technology plans. Experienced in managing a quality IT support service that serves the business, this individual is a natural leader of people, a collaborator, an excellent communicator both within their team and externally to the business, a team player who also possesses a strong and diverse technical background needed to advise and coach team members on best practice solutions and methods. The ideal candidate possesses a breadth of technology knowledge and experience applying best practice knowledge both in infrastructure and business applications and is eager to learn more in these areas working with a team of seasoned Hartman executive IT leaders and other technology advisors while working within our clients.

The Hartman IT Director role requires knowledge and expertise in server/network/security systems administration, virtual and cloud environments, IT service desk operations management and project management to drive a quality support service and lead project initiatives to successful outcomes. This role will manage client IT teams and processes on a fractional basis to ensure system reliability, availability, and recoverability by managing IT professionals and monitoring key performance indicators to ensure expected performance and quality results.
The following describes some of the expectations for this position:
- Research and provide data to the team to answer questions such as: Is the network appropriate to meet the current and future business needs of the company? Is it scalable? What risks are associated with the current infrastructure?
- Implement appropriate technical solutions, actively seeking ways to leverage the integration of business processes with applicable emerging technologies to improve and streamline operations and services in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. Promote a sustainable technology framework and coordinate related systems.
- Assume project management responsibilities on assigned projects that require research, data collection, critical thinking, technical expertise, and a high level of independence in support of long-range planning activities.
- Manage network, application and server infrastructure teams, processes, and performance of systems administration activities in client environments ensuring the environment is properly maintained and proactively monitored to ensure adequate capacity to support business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5-7+ years progressively responsible, related experience
- Background and knowledge in banking and/or credit unions
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, build and manage strong relationships within a standard 40-hour work week. Strong sense of urgency, ownership, and results-orientation as evidence of strong leadership traits.
- Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.
- Initiative to identify and communicate opportunities to contribute additional value to existing and prospective clients.
- Self-motivated, independent, cooperative, flexible, creative.
- Broad knowledge and experience in the following areas:
- IT Service Desk operations, technical support experience, performance management, team management, ideally utilizing ITIL-based methodology.
- Management of IT professionals
- Management of Systems Administration and monitoring of its performance
- Project management and project plan development knowledge and experience
- Microsoft server technologies, including Active Directory and Terminal Services
- Office 365 administration and best practices
- VMware/virtualization experience
- Cloud infrastructure
- Enterprise storage
- Proficiency in supporting desktop operating systems
- Understanding of database support and maintenance
- Network skills including support of a WAN infrastructure with remote users and facilities
EDUCATION:
- Degree in IT related field required
