Job Summary: The .NET and Power Platform Developer will be responsible for developing, converting, and maintaining applications using the .NET framework and Microsoft Power Platform. This role involves supporting legacy systems, implementing API integrations, designing data models, and ensuring adherence to development standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Certification Requirements: Possess valid Microsoft .NET and Power Platform development certifications.
2. Legacy System Conversion: Assist in converting legacy .NET applications to the Microsoft Power Platform, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
3. Legacy Application Support: Provide ongoing maintenance and support for existing .NET applications, addressing technical issues and performing updates.
4. API Integration: Develop and implement API integration solutions for secure and efficient data exchange between applications.
5. Data Model Design: Collaborate with DBAs to design data models, optimize queries, and maintain data integrity.
6. SDLC Proficiency: Demonstrate expertise in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), utilizing both waterfall and agile methodologies.
7. Development Standards: Follow established development practices and identify opportunities for process improvements.

Technical Expertise:

1. Proficiency in programming languages such as VB.NET, Java/J2EE, and API development.
2. Strong experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Pages, Portals).
3. Hands-on experience in setting up Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) and writing unit and feature tests.
4. Ability to run and optimize SQL queries for development and testing efforts.

Best Practices & Operational Knowledge:

1. Knowledge of best practices in systems deployment, testing, operations, administration, and disaster recovery.

Communication & Leadership:

1. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a proactive approach to task management and the ability to work independently.

Additional Qualifications:

1. Experience with operating systems, databases, application servers, programming languages, and network protocols is a plus.
2. Relevant technical certifications or additional training in these areas is highly desirable.
