Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Event Sales Manager to generate a strong sales stream for our new event venue. This is a "boots on the ground" role, perfect for someone who thrives on building relationships, developing new business opportunities, and executing a hands-on sales strategy. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, self-driven, and passionate about connecting with local businesses, event planners, caterers, and individuals to showcase our venue for events such as weddings, corporate functions, social gatherings, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively seek out and develop new business opportunities for the event venue.
- Build relationships with local businesses, event planners, community organizations, and individuals to generate leads and secure bookings.
- Conduct on-site tours of the venue for prospective clients, highlighting key features and amenities.
- Meet or exceed monthly sales targets by closing venue rental contracts and upselling catering packages.
- Collaborate with the catering team to customize event packages to meet clients' needs and budgets.
- Attend local networking events, trade shows, and community functions to promote the venue and generate interest.
- Maintain detailed records of sales activities, lead generation, client communications, and bookings in CRM software.
- Negotiate contracts and manage the booking process from lead generation to event execution.
- Coordinate closely with the event planning team to ensure seamless communication and execution of client expectations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales, ideally in hospitality, events, or catering.
- Strong local network and ability to generate leads.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, set goals, and achieve sales targets.
- Experience in venue or event management is a plus.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required for client tours and events.
