Sr. Manager, Food & Science

LaSalle Network is partnering with a leading company in the hopes of hiring a Senior Manager, Food & Science. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years' experience along with a BS, Masters, or PhD in Food Science. This person will have excellent time management skills and the ability to compile project reports.
Senior Manager, Food & Science Responsibilities:

• Takes charge of designing and implementing project methodologies for diverse product development initiatives, covering areas such as sugar confectionery, chocolate confectionery, ingredient applications and mogul depositing technology

• Guides efforts across all product platforms

• Collaborates with R&D, Engineering and Manufacturing teams to execute projects, facilitate technology transfer and address challenges.

• Records, observes and assesses experimental data

• Compiles project reports

• Collaborates with technical and professional teams in manufacturing, operations, quality, procurement and marketing

• Collaborates with Quality and Regulatory Compliance, supporting plant QA on quality issues

• Enhances technical capabilities of domestic ingredient vendors and evaluates contract manufacturing opportunities

• Actively contributes to the Innovation process, providing leadership and ideas for products and processes

• Engages with vendors, suppliers, and contract manufacturers

• Ensures compliance with company policies, embodies core values and performs assigned duties

Senior Manager, Food & Science Requirements:

• BS, Master's, or Ph.D. in Food Science or related field

• 5-10 years in the food industry or a related field

• Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word), Spreadsheets and SA

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Demonstrates a drive for results, consistently exceeding goals

• Handles ambiguity effectively, adapting to change seamlessly

• Pays attention to detail

• Works well collaboratively and independently

• Efficient time management
