Financial Consultant

Anchor Talent has partnered with a manufacturer in Georgetown looking for a consultant to help with corporate taxes. The right candidate will have their CPA, experience filing in multiple states, and be comfortable with a high-paced environment.
This organization is entering a rapid growth stage while also undergoing a restructuring of entities through M&A.
This role can be remote, ideally with a candidate based in Texas (Austin, DFW, San Antonio or Houston).
This is a consultant role, expected length 4-6 months but can be full or part time.
Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate preparation, review, and filing of state and federal tax returns, adhering to all applicable regulations and deadlines.
• Conduct in-depth audits and forensic investigations of previous years' tax returns to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Stay up-to-date on changes to tax laws and regulations, ensuring full compliance and timely reporting across all jurisdictions.
• Work closely with internal teams to streamline data management, collection, reporting, and analysis.
• Provide insights into potential tax-saving opportunities, helping to minimize liabilities and optimize financial strategies.
• Continuously assess and improve tax processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy, especially in relation to date management

• 5+ years accounting/finance experience in manufacturing/production industry
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance
• CPA Required
• Strong understanding of GAAP and cost/project accounting
• Able to identify areas of improvement and develop internal controls and processes as needed

• Compensation: This is a consultant role, open to discussion on 1099, W-2 or fractional support.
• Remote role: Ideally would like candidates in Texas to interact and meet with executive leadership
