About our Brand:

We are seeking a dynamic Restaurant Manager to join and lead our Arlo Grey team. A successful candidate will have a genuine passion for the hospitality industry and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Arlo Grey is the LINE's lakeside restaurant by Top Chef winner, cookbook author, and Fast Foodies host Kristen Kish. At Arlo Grey, Kish and Executive Chef Alejandro Munoz dig deep into the bountiful ingredients of Central Texas to create a mix of dishes influenced by French and Italian traditions, as well as Kish's nostalgia for meals from her Midwest upbringing.

Responsibilities:

  1. Must be courteous and gracious, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
  2. Establish and maintain good communications and teamwork with fellow colleagues and other departments within the hotel.
  3. Maintain “open door” communication with employees.
  4. Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash control.
  5. Must have full knowledge of menu items, their ingredients, and preparation techniques.
  6. Uphold the highest standards of hospitality, constantly monitoring guest experience.
  7. Responsible for obtaining maximum results in the utilization and appearance of the F&B areas, the quality levels, performance, and standards of service.
  8. Work closely with the Director of Food & Beverage, Executive Chef, and Sous Chefs to design an effective menu and wine list while ensuring excellent product quality at a fair price.
  9. Attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.
  10. Describe and ensure quality of all food items, ingredients, and preparation methods, as well as provide expert knowledge of wine and spirits.
  11. Responsible for interviewing, selecting, training, guiding, managing, and scheduling personnel.
  12. Monitor performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, conducting counseling, evaluations, setting goals, and delivering recognition and reward.
  13. Take ownership of all service issues brought to your attention by guests.
  14. Ensure staff understands their job expectations before holding them accountable.
  15. Maintain awareness of documentation needed and retained in employee files.
  16. Attend relevant meetings.

Core Competencies:

  1. High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
  2. Three (3) years related experience in hospitality or service industry preferred.
  3. Strong communication skills.
  4. Collaborative spirit.
  5. Ethical Conduct.
  6. Computer Proficiency: Microsoft Office, Opera PMS, POS.
  7. Positive Attitude.
  8. Eye for Detail.
  9. Problem-solving abilities.
