Open Call

City Roots Hospitality Group is looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic people with a strong work ethic to be part of our team. 

We will be having an open call at our Le basque Restaurant location on Tuesday, October 29, and Wednesday  October 30 from 12:00noon - 3:00pm. Address: Le Basque Restaurant at 15 Union Square West, 10003

We are hiring for all FOH positions for a NEW FINE DINING RESTAURANT location, especially looking for servers, server assistants, hosts/hostesses and barbacks. 

To be considered for any open position, you MUST bring a copy of your resume to the open call. 

Server/Server Assistant Requirements: 

• Provide our guests with an outstanding dining experience through great customer service and interpersonal skills. This includes greeting all guests as they arrive, taking orders, having an understanding of our menu to offer recommendations, and always keeping a positive, up-beat demeanor.
• Maintain highest quality standards according to company policies and NYC health and safety regulations. 
• Work well in a fast paced environment as a member of a team. 
• Communicate effectively with other staff members and guests. 
• Maintain a sense of urgency at all times and take initiative. 
• Handle customer complaints or problems with a positive attitude.
• Be dedicated to our customers, our brand and each other. 
• Server candidates must have 3+ years of upscale/fine dining experience. Must have extensive food, spirits, wine and service knowledge.
• Server assistants must have 2+ years of upscale/fine dining experience

  

Qualifications:

• Previous work experience in a restaurant environment preferred
• Customer service oriented. Attentiveness and patience.
• Problem solving skills
• Responsible, dependable and punctual. 
• Attention to cleanliness and safety. Food safety certification will be a plus. 
• Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time. 
• Ability to lift up to 35lbs
• Basic math skills 
• Flexible/open availability
