We are seeking a Purchasing Supply Analyst for our Supply Chain Outsourcing Organization within Georgia-Pacific. As a part of the Supply Chain Outsourcing organization, the Purchasing Supply Analyst will be responsible for supporting the buying of commercial, retail and Dixie brand products. This position will be responsible for managing and executing outside vendor production, reconciling raw materials, lead & facilitate discussions with vendors and procurement to identify areas of opportunity to improve service. Must be self-directed, work with a high sense of urgency and possess the ability to solve problems and collaborate with internal and external customers to meet the needs of vendor production.
Location : This is a hybrid role based out of our Atlanta, GA or Green Bay, WI offices.
What You Will Do
- Manage outside vendor production through purchase order management with our Domestic and International vendors in accordance with the Supply Plan. In addition, working to minimize out of stock and improve case fill rate.
- Determine raw material requirements for specified outside purchased items, communication of those requirements to the vendor via purchase orders and subsequent follow up to ensure timely delivery of product to meet customer demand.
- Work with vendors and Georgia-Pacific mill facilities to ensure raw materials are supplied in a timely manner to our finished good converters. Responsible for reconciling raw materials monthly and waste management.
- Monitor fluctuations in short term demand to ensure inventory supply is maintained at each of Georgia Pacific's stocking locations in concert with the monthly S&OP process.
- Utilize Georgia Pacific's Ariba invoicing system to resolve invoicing discrepancies.
- Play an active role in supporting new vendor start up, new product launches, product transitions and depletions. Responsible for GP owned material depletion on discontinued items.
- Work with corporate accounting team on yearly physical count calendar and support the Contract Manufacturing Manager team with physical counts and reconciliations at our vendors location on raw materials on an annually/biannually basis.
- Identify and implement process improvements and best practices to drive out non-value added work and unnecessary complexity.
- Lead and facilitate and or take part in regular vendor meetings with the Contract Manufacturing Manager and Supply Planners to align on production schedules and purchase order delivery schedules.
- Create long term value through excellence in execution, advanced capabilities, and processes by demonstrating agility, adaptability, and alignment with internal and external customers.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience in procurement, purchasing or manufacturing industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel (i.e. Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPS, analyzing data) and Outlook
What Will Put You Ahead
- Bachelor's Degree or higher with a concentration in Supply Chain Management or Business Management/Administration
- 1+ years of relevant work experience in purchasing, inventory control, planning or manufacturing industry
- Strong leadership capability to be self-directed in work and experience working with suppliers
- Experience utilizing SAP to manage purchasing functions and inventory
- Experience working in multiple ERP systems or programs including S4, Ariba, and TOPs
- Effective Communicator (verbal & written)
- Decision making skills, problem solving skills and excellent time management skills
- Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
- Demonstrate integrity, dedication, proactivity and have a positive work attitude and work ethic
- Team building skills and the ability to establish effective communication with both internal and external customers, such as Supply Planner, Contract Manufacturing Manager, Demand Planning, Customer Service, Procurement and Outside Vendors
