Position Overview

Participates in design, development, and implementation of architectural deliverables, to include components of the assessment and optimization of system design and review of user requirements. Contributes to the determination of technical and operational feasibility of solutions. Develops prototypes of the system design and works with database, operations, technical support and other IT areas as appropriate throughout development and implementation processes. May lead multiple projects with competing deadlines. Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource; provides tech knowledge and capabilities as team member and individual contributor.

Position Description

Come join an exciting team within Global Information Security (GIS), a globally distributed team responsible for cyber security innovation and architecture, engineering, solutions and capabilities development, technical project management and information technology security control support.

The Cyber Health Monitoring (CHM) team is responsible for interacting and partnering with senior-level resources to conduct current state health assessments, identifying opportunities to support and enhance health monitoring capabilities for GIS teams and developing plans and roadmaps to meet the evolving needs of GIS, an individual will be viewed as a critical partner, thought leader, and subject matter expert for CHM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs Business Analyst duties, such as designing and scoping of key deliverables, gathering business technical requirements, identifying areas for continuous process improvement, conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and assisting with feasibility analysis.
  • Collaborates and closely engages with developer teams, operations teams and Senior Leadership.
  • Additional responsibilities may include leading multiple projects, establishing new initiatives, procedures and governance routines and being a technical resource or Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  • Establish a comprehensive understanding of GIS, including criticality of and (intra)dependencies for GIS services, controls and processes.
  • Assess and evaluate GIS against impact tolerance levels and identify gaps.
  • Conduct current and previous state health assessments of GIS and collaborate with key partners.
  • Monitor and escalate cyber health issues based on criteria and situational judgement.
  • Identify problems and develop creative solutions.

Knowledge, Skills and Key Leadership Characteristics:

  • Experience managing multiple projects spanning different subject areas.
  • Experience creating repeatable procedures and/or governance routines.
  • Experience partnering and engaging with teams to drive results and change.
  • Ability to think broadly and possesses strong communication and meeting facilitation skills.
  • Ability to mobilize, motivate and drive results with limited information and ambiguity.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as sound judgment to assess an operational or security problem/opportunity and identify best future state.
  • Functional and technical knowledge of information security capabilities, services, controls and processes.
  • Ability to read and/or write code is a nice to have.
  • Ability to analyze and compare current state health with the cyber landscape, determining impact and linkages.

Pay Transparency details:

US - CO - Denver - 1144 15th St - Denver Gis (CO9926), US - DC - Washington - 1800 K St NW - 1800 K Street NW (DC1842) Pay range $93,700.00 - $142,500.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set. Discretionary incentive eligible. This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
