Overview:
WiredPeople invites applicants to join our growing team as a Data Collector that provides critical services to state public health entities. Successful candidates will have experience in patient services, customer service, sales, or related fields interacting directly with clients. Previous experience with data entry in the medical field/knowledge of medical terminology is preferred. Data Collectors work as part of a larger team onsite in Tallahassee, FL to ensure collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts lead searching and recruits assigned sampled persons for participation
- Performs interviews of sampled persons in compliance with established protocols
- Performs interview evaluations for peer staff as needed to ensure data quality
- Distributes tokens of appreciation to participants and obtains patient medical records
- Abstracts patient medical records according to established procedures and protocols
- Performs medical record re-abstractions for peer staff as needed to ensure data quality
- Documents all work in provided data systems and submits interview and medical record data by established due dates
- Presents project data and assists with marketing the project with providers and other community stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Two years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree in public health or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Two years of experience with patient services, customer service, sales, or related field interacting directly with clients
- One year of experience with data entry preferably in the medical field with knowledge of medical terminology
- Five years of experience with the Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Bilingual English with Spanish and/or Creole is preferred but not required.
