The Senior Estimator plays a pivotal role as the leader in assigned projects, encompassing both negotiated and hard bid work. We expect them to uphold existing client relationships while forging new connections naturally. This role demands exceptional verbal and written communication skills alongside technical proficiency for precise and comprehensive estimates. The Senior Estimator must also excel in project interviews, demonstrating persuasive prowess and effectiveness while thriving in our collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage projects from inception through bidding, design, and subcontractor bidding phases.
  • Solicit bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Review bid documents and conduct quantity take-offs.
  • Coordinate bid document ordering and distribution.
  • Attend pre-bid conferences and conduct site visits.
  • Monitor subcontractor participation and collaborate on scheduling.
  • Input take-off data into estimating software and create bid tabulations.
  • Prepare Qualification Attachments and arrange bid bonds.
  • Coordinate with insurers on project requirements.
  • Provide contract copies and manage RFIs with architects.
  • Participate in bid-day activities and analyze subcontractor bids.
  • Compile post-bid documentation and update databases.
  • Assist in post-bid interviews and develop conceptual estimates.
  • Participate in project interviews as required.
Other Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate proficiency in annual performance assessments.
    Adhere to Rogers-O'Brien policies, procedures, safety plans, and regulatory standards.
Supervision:
  • Oversee Estimating support team members.
