2. Seeking a Medical Oncology Medical Director for Cancer Collaborative in Astoria, Oregon. This position is part of the Cancer Institute, an NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center. This position is a Clinical Associate within OHSU's School of Medicine, Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology.
3. The Collaborative provides comprehensive, personalized cancer care to help people in Northwest Oregon and Southwest Washington receive the treatment they need, while maintaining their quality of life. The Collaborative brings together the Cancer Institute's leadership and excellence in oncology care with the friendly, welcoming atmosphere of the affiliated hospital, a leader among Oregon's rural hospitals. As part of the Collaborative, our comprehensive care includes radiation oncology, medical oncology, infusion, nutrition, and social services, pharmacy, and patient navigation.

Function/Duties of Position:

1. Support of the mission, goals and objectives of OHSU, the Cancer Institute, The Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology, and the School of Medicine.
2. Care of patients with hematologic and oncologic disease in the community clinic setting in Astoria, OR. Engages surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, and primary care providers in the care of hematology and oncology patients.
3. Leads Cancer Committee (CoC) and Breast and General tumor boards. Participate with other Division and staff and provider teams, as needed.
4. Member of the core leadership team in conjunction with the Administrative Director and Radiation Oncologist who provide Cancer Center program direction.
5. Participate in administrative committees and councils as approved by Division leadership.
6. Participates in regulatory and other outside surveys including, but not limited to The Joint Commission, Planetree, and Accreditation Commission for Health Care.
7. Leads efforts to continually improve the safety, delivery, and value of oncology services.
8. Ensures operational excellence through achievement of organizational metrics.
9. Participates in community projects, education, screening, and program awareness events.
10. Engage in public service through consultative activities with non-university groups with knowledge and consent of the Division Head and Section Chief.
11. Participate, as desired, in the education of medical students and house staff.
12. Participate, as desired, in clinical, translational, and research activities.

Required Qualifications:

1. MD, MD/PhD, DO, MBBS, or MBBCh
2. Board Certification in Medical Oncology or Hematology
