Our client, a mission driven health services organization based in Boston, MA, is looking to hire a receptionist on a temporary basis to provide procedural administrative support as well as welcoming visitors on the phone and\/or in person. This is an on-site role with the hours of 8:30am-5pm, and is paying $20 or $21 per hour depending on level of experience. Responsibilities and Desired Competencies:
  • Answering phones, meeting and greeting on-site
  • Stocking kitchen and supplies
  • Distributing mail
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience
  • 2-3 years in a similar role
  • Must be able to follow company policy by maintaining the visitors logbook.
  • Proven ability to maintain a punctual record of attendance
  • Excellent telephone and verbal communication skills
  • Customer orientation focusing on needs of internal customers delivering high quality results; must be able to operate in a positive, helpful and productive manner
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Proven ability to grasp new material quickly; creative, organized, innovative thinker who takes an entrepreneurial approach to the job
  • Polished and mature verbal, written, email and phone communication skills; ability to effectively represent the company to a variety of audiences
  • Results driven, improvement focused, and action oriented self-starter who can handle various responsibilities simultaneously and proactively and continually look for a better way of doing things
  • Business insight and the ability to make a contribution to the department; strong analytical skills; excellent organizational skills and demonstrated attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a wide variety of individuals from various socio-economic, ethnic and cultural backgrounds
  • Ability to handle sensitive information; must be able to maintain discretion and confidentiality
  • The ability and desire to embrace and manage change; demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of productivity and effectiveness in the midst of ambiguity or stress
  • Must be able to operate a computer and other office machinery.
  • Proven ability to frequently communicate with colleagues, direct reports, internal customers, and vendors and must be able to effectively exchange information in these situations
  • English; fluency in other languages a plus
