THE OPPORTUNITY

As part of the America’s team, SANY is looking to recruit a driven, forward-thinking and highly motivated Vice President of Aftermarket Parts and Service. With the deep investment and backing of SANY Group, the Americas business expects to grow significantly in the coming years. Critical to this growth is the appointment of a high-quality VP of Aftermarket Parts and Service who is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, operations, and continuous improvement of the company's aftermarket parts and service departments. This position is located in Peachtree City, GA.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and implement the overall aftermarket parts and service strategy, ensuring alignment with SANY America's business objectives.
    • Identify growth opportunities within the aftermarket sector, including new services, product offerings, and partnerships to drive revenue.
    • Set and manage departmental goals, KPIs, and budgets to ensure operational efficiency and profitability.
  2. Operations Management:
    • Oversee parts inventory management, distribution, and logistics to ensure timely delivery of parts to customers and service centers.
    • Implement and improve service procedures, warranty programs, and maintenance plans to meet and exceed customer expectations.
    • Ensure high-quality service standards across all service operations, including field support, repairs, and technical assistance.
  3. Customer Relations:
    • Strengthen customer loyalty by developing long-term relationships with key clients, dealers, and service partners.
    • Ensure exceptional customer service experiences, responding to and resolving escalated customer issues.
    • Lead customer satisfaction initiatives through regular feedback loops and continual process improvements.
  4. Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of service and parts professionals, including regional managers, service technicians, and support staff.
    • Ensure effective training and development programs are in place to elevate technical expertise and customer service skills within the team.
    • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented culture focused on delivering value to both internal and external customers.
  5. Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
    • Collaborate closely with sales, engineering, and product development teams to ensure the aftermarket strategy supports overall business objectives.
    • Work with global counterparts, particularly with the China headquarters, to streamline parts sourcing and service initiatives.
    • Coordinate with finance and procurement to optimize parts pricing and manage supplier relationships.
  6. Continuous Improvement:
    • Champion continuous improvement initiatives across all aftermarket operations, including lean practices and digital solutions to optimize workflow.
    • Analyze performance metrics and industry trends to drive innovation in aftermarket service offerings.
    • Monitor warranty claim trends and work with product teams to address recurring issues and enhance product reliability.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Financial acumen with experience managing P&L for large service and parts operations.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to drive strategic change.
  • Excellent leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead customer service initiatives and deliver measurable improvements in customer satisfaction.
  • Strong understanding of parts distribution, logistics, and inventory management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while balancing strategic goals with day-to-day operational demands.
  • Results-oriented and customer-focused, with a strong commitment to service excellence.
  • At least 10+ years of experience in aftermarket parts and service management within the heavy equipment, construction machinery, or similar industries, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

TRAVEL

  • Up to 25%

Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience. It will include a base salary, an annual performance bonus, and other exceptional benefits.
