The IT Director is responsible for overseeing the district's information technology operations, ensuring the availability, security, and efficiency of all IT systems. This role involves strategic planning, system installations, cybersecurity management, and supervision of IT staff. The IT Director will lead efforts to integrate technology into the curriculum, manage budgets, develop policies, and ensure compliance with educational standards.Key Responsibilities:Strategic IT Planning: Develop and execute IT strategies aligned with district goals.System Management: Oversee the installation, upgrading, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.Cybersecurity: Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures, including threat analysis, incident response, and staff training.Network and Server Management: Ensure the availability and security of the districts network and server infrastructure.Office365 and Cloud Management: Manage the districts O365 and Azure systems as a global admin, ensuring seamless integration and security.VOIP and Security Systems: Oversee the management of VOIP and security camera systems.IT Staff Supervision: Lead and support IT staff, including computer technicians and the integrations specialist.Budgeting and Financial Management: Develop, manage, and monitor the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions.Policy Development: Create and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations.Educational Technology Integration: Collaborate with educators to integrate technology into the curriculum.Compliance: Ensure all IT systems comply with educational laws and standards, including FERPA, CIPA, and the Florida Sunshine Law.Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain the districts Disaster Recovery and data backup plans.Vendor Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with technology vendors.Communication: Communicate effectively with a variety of audiences, both technical and non-technical, through oral, written, and electronic media.

Qualifications:Education: Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of IT experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.Certifications: Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA Project+ or ITIL, or CompTIA Security+ preferred. Advanced IT certifications are strongly encouraged.Skills:o Strong leadership, project management, and team management skills.o Expertise in cybersecurity, network management, and cloud services.o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.o Ability to manage budgets and financial planning. This includes securing and allocating E-Rate funds and grant funding when available, while ensuring compliance with all associated federal regulations and guidelines.o Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.o Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations such as FERPA, CIPA, and Florida Sunshine Law.o Knowledge of National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) frameworko Network, Server, and Firewall management.

Physical Requirements:Work Environment: Primarily office-based with occasional site visits across the district.Physical Demands: Ability to lift and move IT equipment up to 25 pounds, sit for extended periods, and perform work using a computer.
