Human Resources Strategic Advisor Consulting Director

We are in search for an Enabling Strategic Advisor, partnering with our Finance, HR, Communications, Legal, and Corporate Development. You will serve as a trusted partner for the business, partnering with leaders to provide leadership coaching and a talent lens to key organizational objectives, decisions, and imperatives. You will identify the most pressing talent opportunities and challenges throughout the organization, owning the talent management strategy for your business. Success in this role will require strong business acumen and talent management skills to work with and influence the aligned business unit or functional leader. You must have strong strategic consulting and relationship management skills that enable collaboration and networking both within HR and throughout the organization. You will act as a unified voice and broker to the organization’s senior leaders for HR, linking HR experts to the people needs of the business unit leadership. This role will report directly to the Vice President Human Resources and expected to be based in the Atlanta area. We are particularly interested in candidates who reside in the Atlanta area.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Understands business issues with a broad knowledge of the industry to support leaders by bringing in appropriate resources to solve problems and with guidance on complex situations
- Proven experience partnering with enabling functions, specifically with senior C-suite level leaders
- Discuss reporting and people analytics with senior leaders to provide insights and trigger respective actions
- Advise on new positions and provide coaching / assistance to Leadership on talent management and talent acquisition; identify internal mobility opportunities and alternative career pathways
- Design and lead organizational design initiatives for your business that align with strategic and business goals. Earn buy-in from the team to ensure successful implementation.
- Proactively advise senior leadership across the talent lifecycle including the following processes: Workforce Planning, Talent Review, Succession Planning, Organizational Design and Effectiveness. Hiring Strategies, Managing Attrition, Leadership Development (Delivery), Executive Coaching, Performance and Learning Strategies, Rewards Strategies
- Partner with HR Process Operations team, HR Managers and COEs to oversee the local delivery of talent and total rewards programs across the following functional areas: performance management, employee engagement, career development, leadership development, executive benefits, workforce planning, and succession planning
- Provide business input into the development of a strategy for the employee experience, managed and owned by the HR Associate Experience Center team
- Seamlessly integrate strategic initiatives and priorities from leadership with the COEs, translating needs into thoughtful initiatives
- Serve as ambassador and change agent of the company values by integrating them into overall HR practice
- Coach leaders to manage and maximize the skills/capabilities of their team members to create a high-performance culture
- Maintain awareness of emerging trends and best practices within business groups and in external environment to ensure alignment of business objectives to the people strategy
Skills and Minimum Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5-7 years of human resources management or business strategy experience
- High proficiency in data judgement, including analyzing, interpreting, and communicating data effectively
- Experience taking business strategy and pairing with HR breadth and depth to develop and execute appropriate solutions
- Built and executed talent management strategies with the business
- Associate Relations and Labor Relations experience
- Ability to collaborate and partner with HR COEs (Centers of Expertise) partners
- Experience with Total Rewards strategies and ability to translate those to the business
- Detailed orientated with a bias for action
- Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt based on audience
- A high level of energy, adaptability, and decisiveness with the willingness to work hard to grow a business
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and SuccessFactors
