Sr. Consultant – Oracle Exadata (Min 10+ Years Experience)

Job Description

Preferred Qualifications:

1. At least 3 years of experience in creating requirement specifications based on Architecture/Design/Detailing of Processes.
2. At least 2 years of experience in Oracle Exadata-X3 Skills.
3. Exposure to Oracle RAC (Real Application Cluster), OEM, RMAN, AWRRPT, OPATCH, RDA, and runInstaller.
4. Exposure to Exadata components such as OEDA, EXACHK, ILOM, Database Server, Storage Cell Server, Infiniband, Automatic Storage Management (ASM), GRID Control.
5. Install, upgrade, maintain and support Oracle Instances on Exadata.
6. Install/setup/configure Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) tools for monitoring of Oracle Database & Oracle Applications 11i & R12.
7. Create, monitor and maintain user tablespaces. Create Users at both OS and Oracle levels.
8. Interface with Oracle Corp’s Platinum Services team to plan, schedule and coordinate patching of all Exadata environments.
9. Patch Exadata environment with one-off patches as necessary, using the rolling-patch method wherever applicable.
10. At least 2 years of experience in Development/Configuration/Solutions evaluation/Validation and deployment.
11. Analytical and Communication skills.
12. Planning and Coordination skills.
13. Experience with project management.
14. Experience and desire to work in a management consulting environment that requires regular travel.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
2. At least 4 years of experience with IT Infrastructure Skills.
