POSITION SUMMARY
The Procurement Specialist is primarily responsible for performing data management and analytical tasks for the Procurement Department using various software systems but will also be responsible for providing general assistance and support to various procurement staff members.
The position is evaluated on produced results and may require occasional evening and weekend work to accommodate project timelines. While the position will report directly to the Procurement Director, other procurement staff will provide instruction and oversight on their specific procurement projects directly to the Procurement Analyst.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
General Responsibilities
- Performs various data validation, data input, and data management tasks in Microsoft Dynamics 365 to effectively manage SKU’s in an inventory databasing system.
- Reviews incoming vendor add or vendor modification requests from portfolio properties and performs data validation tasks before adding the vendor to Alterra’s procurement database.
- Communicates with resort staff, corporate staff, and vendors to verify D365 data and vendor information.
- Extracts raw data from various enterprise data systems, refine the data, and presents findings to appropriate staff.
- Produces top quality graphs, decks, and spreadsheets and presents to Alterra Mountain Company leadership.
- Manages the Procurement Department shared mailbox and calendar.
- Responsible for coordinating various meetings and important communication between the Procurement Department, portfolio, and public.
- Maintains the Procurement Departments public facing website, ticketing system, and internal file structure.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office suite, with advanced knowledge using Microsoft Excel and Power Point.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized, with extreme attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to variable workload.
- Critical thinking and prioritization skills. This position will require a heavy amount of self-direction on projects, including independent research. The Procurement Specialist will be provided with expected outcomes and will be encouraged to develop their own strategies to meet those outcomes.
- Conflict resolution skills.
- Professional/lived experience working in a culturally competent manner with a diverse range of people.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in any field.
- Year of experience working in a professional office environment, or internship.
The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Alterra Mtn Co Shared Services Inc. hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Alterra Mtn Co Shared Services Inc.’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.
Denver area base hourly pay range: $21.15 - $29.33 per hour
