The Opportunity
As HSN's Director Merchandising Business Development, you will lead and deliver a holistic approach to the category business strategy through new business adjacencies, white space opportunities, and acceleration of product discovery while reporting to the CMO, working closely with the GMM-VP’s of Merchandising.

Your Impact
- Identify new product opportunities by combining information from consumer insights, customer analytics, business development, lifestyle trends, industry research, and multi-platform buying teams.
- Partner with the leadership team to develop and deliver the category strategy based on brand/classification/lifecycle trends, white space opportunities, and new business adjacencies.
- Lead new product discovery methods (i.e. Big Find, collaborations, concepts, new business development efforts).
- Deliver new brands/products to accelerate the product agenda by being the leader of collective cross-category customer-centric strategies.
- Attend trade shows, industry conferences and consume trade publications and social media to identify new business adjacencies and new brands.
- Cultivate an outreach network within the industry and maintain a network of several influencers and partners.
- Partner with Buying, Consumer Insights, and Legal to present growth strategies and new ideas.
What You Bring
- You hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience.
- You have a minimum of eight years' experience in a retail environment leading a buying group with a minimum of eight years' experience in managing/leading others.
- You have experience working with various merchandising categories or experiences.
- You have a great brand partnering with leaders at various levels and cross-functional departments.
- You have experience working with budgets and can forecast business.
