Snohomish County Superior Court/Treatment Court is recruiting for a new position that will provide support and coordination of services to individuals participating in Superior Court Treatment Courts.
We're looking for someone who has a passion for serving individuals impacted by substance use and mental health concerns. Successful candidates will have experience identifying and accessing community resources and be experienced in creating case plans to support participants in their recovery.
We are interested in candidates who have developed their skills through a combination of education and professional and/or lived experience. While the minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree and at least one year experience, we are open to seeing applications from those who meet the qualifications through alternate pathways.
Candidates will be driving a county motor vehicle, and a valid Washington State Driver's License is required within the first 30 days of employment.

Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in substance abuse, criminal justice, psychology, sociology, social work, or related field: PLUS one (1) year experience in a therapeutic court environment involving case assessment and case management, client interviewing, social service delivery, OR, any equivalent combination of training and/or experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to drive a county motor vehicle; a valid Washington State Driver's License is required within the first 30 days of employment. Applicants must successfully pass criminal background and professional reference checks.

May work with angry, hostile, mentally ill, chemically dependent clients. May require transporting adults in a county vehicle. Occasional work on evenings and weekends.

Job Duties
STATEMENT OF ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Assess an individual's immediate and long-term needs and goals for basic needs, housing, educational, vocational training, and employment.
- Identify behaviors and respond to an individual experiencing substance use and/or mental health episode
- Develop, implement, and assess individual case plans, adjusting as needed until plan is completed.
- Assist individuals in identifying their recovery capital (personal, family/social, and community), recovery barriers, and community resources.
- Assist individuals in accessing funding for housing, education, and health care and oversee the Treatment Court voucher system for housing, education, vocational and ancillary services by communicating frequently with landlords and housing programs regarding availability, funding, and partnership, identifying employers with hiring opportunities
- Work effectively with others who have backgrounds and experiences different from yourself with respect to race, ethnicity, language, gender, age, sexual orientation, socio- economic status, physical abilities, and cognitive abilities. Understand the intersectionality of race, ethnicity, gender, and socio-economic status on behavioral health, the criminal justice system, and the child welfare system.
- Maintain collaborative working relationships with judges, prosecuting attorneys, defense attorneys, treatment liaisons, social workers, department of corrections, and other team members and community stakeholders
- Conduct home site visits, which may include entry into community and personal residences; accompany participants to appointments, traveling to multiple locations during work hours in a county vehicle.
- Collaborate and coordinate services with behavioral health treatment agencies, local and state health & government agencies, and community resource programs.
- Attend and actively engage in community meetings, committees, sharing information with local, regional, and state partners.
- Attend weekly Treatment Court hearings and team staff meetings, providing reports on case plan compliance and community resources.
- Maintain client and program records, following rules of confidentiality, HIPAA, and 42 CFR Part 2.
- Collect and enter data in Drug Court Case Management system for purposes of data analysis and status reports.
- Raise awareness of therapeutic courts and programs in the community by making presentations regarding program services and activities.
- Plan, coordinate and facilitate Treatment Court events such as graduation ceremonies, annual picnics, and community outreach events, and Treatment Court Alumni program.
- Maintain current knowledge of substance use disorders, mental health disorders, treatment court model and best practices.
- Attend and actively engage in trainings on bias, equity, inclusion, and allyship.
- Develop and annually update desk manual procedures for the Recovery Support Coordinator routines; provide input to the Treatment Court Administrator regarding development/revision of program policies and procedures.
- Perform related work duties as required.
