Job Requirements / Description

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Seven years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply project management discipline to develop plans, define scope, document requirements, and manage schedule/resources for a complex group of projects.
  • Utilize effective software development methodologies, driving technical and functional teams to complete critical path actions in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain a high level of organization and planning while communicating with stakeholders to reach timelines and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to drive project across multiple teams located at different geographic locations.
  • Independently identify risks, manage corrective action plans when budget or schedule deviations occur, and escalate/communicate project health to senior leadership.
  • Own establishing and managing multiple project deliverables, communicating project and program vision and ensuring IT resources are aligned properly.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and resilience in response to changing or ambiguous situations, directing changes through appropriate review and approval mechanisms.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Actively partner with Database and Cloud teams to ensure appropriate processes and templates are utilized for project and program success.
  • Look for process definition and improvement opportunities and lead others in adhering to existing software development processes and contributing to their improvement.
  • Ensure technical risks associated with a product are identified and closed or mitigated to enable the quality ramp of a product.
  • Ensure service teams meet the quality bar while continuing to raise the bar for the organization.
  • Experience ensuring operational technical readiness for all phases of the product lifecycle.
  • Ability to explain your team's analyses and recommendations to leadership while discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers and product managers.
  • Promoter of automation and use of modern project management processes and tools.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, Release Management, and Release Engineering.
  • Proven track record for driving programs across diverse set of teams in a large organization.
  • Experience with one or more project management tools, maintaining dashboards, and process engineering.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Passion for Security & Privacy.
  • Experience working in Database and/or cloud computing.
  • Possess a technical background that enables you to understand the complexities of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle Database, and Security.
  • Able to engage, communicate, and independently manage cross functional teams across the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to define and achieve strategic goals in an innovative and fast paced environment.
